Accepting that you and I will never be again
Is not an easy concept to conceive
But you've made yourself quite clear
And now it's time for me to leave
I've prayed every night
I've wished on every star
But there's nothing I can do
To bring me to where you are
You left me a long time ago
But you're memory has always remained
Holding on to what used to be
Has left me completely drained
I always thought that you and me
That we had something rare
So it's hard for me to accept
That there's no longer anything there.
I know that I'll move on
And that I will be okay
It will take awhile
But I will find my way
I will learn to love again
This I know is true
But just know that I will never love again
The way that I loved you.
