I look at you
You look past me
I speak but my words fall upon deaf ears.
No matter how loud I scream, you still manage to ignore my voice.
I cry out to you, but you just mock my tears.
I run to be in your embrace but your body turns to stone and I am knocked to
the ground once again.
Yet weak and in pain, I rise to my feet and try once more.
But your silence speaks volumes
And your eyes tell the story of goodbye;
A word which I have not yet come to understand... and I doubt I ever will
For love, in my mind, is everlasting
So even though your love for me has faded, my love for you will transcend
through all of time
