I could still feel it

the rain as it fell from the grey clouds
And dripped sedately onto my face washing away
The invisible sin
Every ice-cold tear form the sky
Slid down my face
Peeling away the regret i have always felt within
I no longer heard the rumble of thunder from the clouds
For my ears were no longer filled with taunts and insults that tormnted my
soul
I couldnt see the shadowed land before me
my eyes were unfocused` looking down
At the wounds self inflicted deep into my soul

And for a second I could not feel the pain
I could only feel one thing
the rain
