your fingers dance through my hair
like a boat cutting through the wake
my eyes catch your lingering stare
i gaze back as your heart i take
laying here next to you
is a temporary relief from the day
i lay here in heaven
and strain my ears to hear you say
your hair is all around us
as i kiss your sweet lip
your intoxicating scent i can smell
my hand falls to your hip
as we are in heaven together
we both enjoy eachother for a moment
and this moment is here to stay forever
the love we share is our component
i think ill take the long way home tonight
and look back and reminisce on our journeys
we didnt go anywhere past the house
and the way you do things amazes me
you leave me with nothing i had lost
and everything i wanted gained
on the bed that i once tossed
in the town that rain once rained
in the city that never sleeps
with the people that dont care
wth the sign that doesnt point
to the place that isnt there
