Behind Your Mask

I thought I was starting to fall for you
I thought you really did care,
I thought you did like the sparkle in my eyes
And how the wind blew through my hair.

I thought you weren't two-faced
I thought you were honest no matter what,
I thought you liked me for a lot more
Then just my looks, or butt.

I thought you were nicer than the others
I thought you saw me for me,
I thought you were more than just a friend
Now I know you were just a dream.

I thought I was smart enough to see the real you
I thought my thoughts were right,
I thought no one, like you, would do this to me
I guess I was blind and had no sense of sight.

I thought I saw you for you
I thought you wouldn't mind if I ask,
I thought I would never see through you
But now I see behind your mask.
