Perfect World

When I look into my mirror,
I drift away in a perfect world,
Where I'm no longer afraid of you.
I causally walk up to you,
Not caring what people are gonna think of me,
And I let my heart pour you onto you,
Telling you how long I've loved you,
Hoping you feel the same way as me.
He hesitates and tells me
"I do love you too"
Then we grow old together,
Marrying right out of high school.
Never once doubting each other’s feelings for one another.
In a way it's like a fairy tale,
The handsome prince chooses me, Cinderella...
But then in an instant,
I float back to present day,
Where none of the wishes have come true.
Knowing once again, and forever more, I'm just me.
The girl who'll never be good enough for you.
