No More Pain

Sitting in my room
My mother getting high
My father at the bar
Getting drunk
I go to the living room
My mother yells at me to get in my room
Because I wasn’t fast enough
She grabs a belt
She starts to hit me
She told me
If I cry or make a sound
She will hit me longer and harder
It hurts to much
For me to keep quite
She hits in one spot
After she is done
I look at what she did
The belt went into my skin
Deep into my skin
It hurts to much
I want to die and get out
Out of the misery I live in
Oh no
My dad comes home drunk and ready
To take his anger out on me like always
I hide in the corner
It doesn’t work he finds me
And hits me
Harder and harder
I can feel the pain go away
My body numb
I can see nothing but a blur
The sounds of him hitting me get faint
I see a bright light and a hand
I grab a hand and go to happiness
No more pain no more neglect
