Your falling tears and failing lies are all but in the past

Here’s my heart a closed letter to you
Rip me apart; tear me to pieces,
This is for the time we won’t regret.
This little piece of me is not going, it’s all mine.
Jealousy is your disease, let me be your cure.
Can you just accept the choices you've made?
This is pay back for the times you stole.
This deadly dose of your own denial keeps the fire burning.
You make your own lies, don’t blame me for what you did.

Take care,
Move away with your alibi,
Can you at least try to improve?
Move along with your alibi.

Do we have the nerve to say that we never want it?
Rip me apart; tear me to pieces,
This is when we open ourselves to the closed.
Let the cold freeze us still, till we can’t move.
Say a prayer, take the stairs to the third floor.
Wait for the tone, take your time, and pick me up.
There’s a light on in the empty room
And I’m waiting and ready. Lock ‘n load.
