I hurry
but flying like street jazz is

tiring.
I wish all the glam boutiques
would close for a
day,
and Central Park would
ask me “What did you do today?”

I look in the window of
Broadway Dance Studio
and see the face of a girl

drunk with Brooklyn, exhausted

all the way out of Times Square.
She tells me to go buy a latte.
