An Inseparable Love

Two loves were married sixty-five years
No easy feat
Then their journey together on this Earth ended.
On their sixty-fifth year together, she died.
An ocean of tears were shed
His heart was broken
She was his whole world
A world which crumbled before him
He had to be strong for his children
But his strength could only last so long
Thanksgiving and Christmas came and went
Their 66th anniversary came. They spent it apart
The only anniversary they wouldn't spend together
Her would be 91st birthday
Mother’s Day without a mother
All together fifteen months passed since her death
Then the unexpected happened
He was diagnosed with cancer
He only had a few more months of waiting before he was to reunite with his
wife
But he was so excited to see her
That he only stayed away from her for a few more days
Then on the 12th of November, a husband was reunited with his wife
It was a beautiful reunion
Something as unheard of as two people kissing in church happened that day
Two people kissed in heaven
He ran to her, and picked her up in his arms
Then sealed their joy with a kiss
They were apart for so long, but now together in eternity
He was just in time to celebrate Thanksgiving with her
She cooked a wonderful meal and invited Christ to sit at their table
They gave thanks
While they looked down on their family
Mirroring their actions
Hearts were breaking on Earth, but they carried on
Hearts are still in pieces
And the pieces were carried up into heaven
Along with the amazing love of two beautiful people
Who just couldn’t live without each other.
