Today rain showers on my life
No longer will I dream of being your wife
All the happiness we once shared
And all those times you said you cared
Are gone now and lost forever
All covered with this horrible weather
I haven’t learned to forget
I still remember the day we met.

You said I was your angel
But now I lost my wings
No longer will I hear
All those pretty things.
Truth is I hear them all the time
But it doesn’t feel the same
And because of what you old me
All I feel is shame.

Slipping and falling in the mud
Drowning in this emotional flood
Staring because I haven’t learned to cry
Breathing in and letting out a sigh.
Wondering if tomorrow will bring sunshine
But knowing the truth since you’re not mine.
