I dreamt of you last night;
holding hands, walking through the park.
Sharing a cup of coffee at a cafe
along the streets of Venice.
You told a joke, and I laughed;
your dark eyes sparkling as you smiled at me.
Watching the sunset along the river;
you pulled me near, and we kissed.
Seeing a shooting star on our walk home;
I made my wish, did you make yours?
You saw me to the doorway,
our last kiss 'goodnight';
and as I crawled into bed,
I watched you walk away before falling asleep.

I dreamt of you last night.
Feeling a breath upon my face,
I open my eyes. t'was the breath of a new day.
My wish was to see you.
