Nothing more than silence
Spreads quick around my heart
Gnawing at my senses
Slowly tears me apart

Closing into numbness
A feeling that I know
Where the pain is hiding
Inside from long ago

Falling through the emptiness
Without much for me below
The air is growing thinner
It’s the only thing I know
