The sweetest melody I’ve ever heard,
More beautiful than I could compose,
More charming than a whistling bird,
I’m but a thorn beside this rose.

I really think she’s quite worthwhile.
As we compose and improvise
I’m trapped in her arms, caught in her smile,
I’m lost in the sight of her eyes.

But when I smell that enchanting scent,
I can’t take my mind from the wants and desires
Of holding her close and being content
In a moment of happiness that truly inspires.

When I hold her in my arms, we are together – we are one.
Our hearts beat in perfect rhythm and I am truly alive.
Then I realize that this journey's just begun
And I want nothing more than "us" to thrive.
