The line between hate and misery

Once upon a time
I knew fate and misery
Before I knew love
Walking across a meadow of sorrow
I see you gazing into the night sky
Just to think that I once loved you
And you abandoned me
Your love for me was like a summer breeze
It lasted for a while
Look at the tears crashing down
Down against this hell we live in
I gave you my heart as a gift
And you tossed it like a old memory
So now I'm gone
Forget me, for now I'm just part of your past
