Never good enough

I can't be the picture perfect daughter, so stop trying to make me turn
When i look into your eyes i see the hate that makes me burn

You said that being off drugs was the only change i made
With all your careless words, you cause my hope to fade

Why don't you love me for who i am, not what you want me to become
You throw your disappointment around, and to that my body's numb

I finally got some help in hopes that you would see
How much i want you to love, and see the good i have in me

But yet to your eyes, my changes you ignore
That leaves my body broken, collapsing to the floor

Deep down within you think your heart is broken
But mine was left shattered from the words your lips have spoken

Your words they come so easily, for they come from the heart
They already left me feeling low and forced my veins apart

For i cut to feel the love that you fail to show
The attention i give myself when the scars begin to show

For the love i have for everyone that keeps my body strong
Yet causes lifeless tears whenever life goes wrong

Everything is left broken that i thought to be tough
I am just worthless, and yet never good enough
