A Prayer for Help

Give me thy kiss of death
Upon my lips, let me rest
Into a breathless peace
And watch me become deceased
I want to know this life
Why I never got things right
Alone, I feel I'm done
So soft and numb I've become
O Lord, father above
If only I could feel your love
My heart is yours to keep
On my knees, I fall and weep
Tears dripping down my cheek
I try to move, still so weak
Please stay, leave me not dead
Before I shed blood so red
Lord, I cry out to you
May my trust in you always keep
Give me the hope to live
Forever in you, I believe
