Taking Comfort

Misting,
Melting,
Running,
Dripping.

I stand,
Enveloped in a whirlpool.
Nears,
A distant wailing,
Approaching my ears,
In a piercing cry.

A flash of colour,
Shoots across.
Where am I?
What's that I hear?
A hog-horn?

Slipping,
Drowning,
Grip-less, I am.

A blob of orange on the wall.
Wait!
Another on the floor!
A fly hovering above?

Spinning, I catch,
A glimpse of calmness.
Fluttering and sliding,
I turn around,
And surrender myself,
To the confusion within.
