The Happy Place

As the sunlight beams flow across my face,
I feel its warmth and its magnificent grace.
The sound of birds chirping and sprinklers across the grass,
And the fast beating of my heart with high hopes that it will last.
Cotton Candy from the carnival and the sweet taste of lemonade,
Along with the sight of a sand box where I many years ago had played.
Memories of years ago filling my head,
And thoughts of sweet dreams as I get ready for bed.
SugerPlums and fairydust from stories that I love,
as white fluffy clouds float around high above.
Blue skies that are constintly smiling at me,
urging me to be happy, and telling me to feel free.
Hopes for bright new future, and good times with family and friends,
and not knowing for a mere second that everything someday ends.
Licorice sticks and cold ice cream that slowly melts on my tongue,
And wishes that I will never grow up, but that I will forever stay young.
Whispers from the wind telling me that its okay to just be me,
even though the real me isn't what everyone wants to see.
High hopes that people I know and love can see the good through all the
bad,
And the mystery of not knowing weather my future holds things that are happy
or sad.
Sitting under a shady tree as a sheild from the fiery sun,
and resting on a comfty couch after a long day of summer fun.
If you want to feel happy, and be in a place of peaceful bliss,
all you have to do is close your eyes and imagine a place like this.
