forgotten memories

As I close eyes and try not to cry
Your face is the only image that comes to mind
As I look deep into your eyes Im taken to a place
Where Ive locked forgotten memories of you

These are the memories I would wish not to re-visit
Although I still want you, I still need you
Your no where in my reach

You walk by me quietly and slowly
Looking down to the floor
Because you cannot bare to recall
The forgotten memories I once brought you

Now those times are cold with exhaustion
You've moved on to another "special girl"
She giggles as you compliment her
On how beautiful and elegant she is
How she makes you write bad poetry

I remember those gestures
And how they meant everything to me
Now I realize you were full of it
And how easily you moved on to another

Well I hope she is everything to you
Like you once were to me
So when she breaks your heart
Letting you know you are worth nothing to her
I wont be there for you to fall back on
My hands were extended for you
Now they are locked tight around my broken heart
Trying to stop it from leaking the pain I felt when you turned away
