she walks a path in the mid of night
her golden hair flowing with the breeze
pale skin drawn tight against her flesh
with haunting blue eyes empowered by the frozen tears imprisoned behind
them
screaming out for release

the moon this night emulates her soul offering no light
enveloped in the darkness she feels all that she can feel
n o t h i n g
the wind is laden with the intoxicating scent of lilacs
ushering her into the unknown
she continues on the path set before her
preordained by destiny
secured... by FATE

she crys silently to herself and as always the tears never fall
the force within her burns a raging dark flame
a flame once free, now tamed by love
released only to engulf her enemies
and during moments of great weakness
now SHE is the enemy
now SHE is weak

she arrives where her entire life has lead her
where she always knew she would be
here the path ends overlooking the world we know
before her is a drop sure in intent sure in result

she steps to the edge recalling all she has ever known
how in all the darkness there has only ever been one light one comfort
in her actions she knows some will suffer in the life she leaves behind
but none as greately as that one
and for this she laments "i'm sorry"

- her first and last tear falls -

it shimmers as it crawls down her face... and then its gone
she takes one last breath closing her eyes

and then she is gone
