Your Poison

everything I've ever felt has made love seem so wrong,
I wish to get rid of this pain that I've felt for so long,
to mend all my emotions, to fix my broken heart,
to collect the shattered pieces of the soul you ripped apart.

your corruption and destruction, by which I must abide,
continues my delusion of the one I am inside,
tainted by your madness, the thing that brings me down,
I have yet to find a decent world in which I'm safe and sound.

I am lost and alone in this desolate place,
with the sorrow and the shame written on my face,
just look at the monstrosity that I have come to be,
take a look at what your poison has done to me.
