Up towards the ceiling my eyes did stare
Contemplating the reasons life isnt fair

People die everyday
Children starv and wither away
Yet no one takes notice to any of these

Children kill children just to watch them die
People end their lives because they can't stand to cry
Still no one seems to realizes these dare to exist

Wars and Starvation
School Shootings and Suicides
These are the things that are most put aside

Who's dating who and who won the game
What's the new diet plan and What's the new guys name
These are the things most pondered and sought

So numb this world has grown to be
We're sinking into the depths of conformity
All thinking small and only of ourselves

I star towards the window out into the snow
Please God, please dont let me sink that low
