I close my eyes and see your face,
Your smile brings light to my darkness.

I see tears falling the sky cries,
I kiss your lips and I taste forever.

The pain of my past seems to fade with the passing of each second love
grows,
Tears of joy begin to fill eyes of glass.

And if I could break my eyes to release the pain of my life,
I would do it a thousand times.

The gift of love itself has been my curse,
But times change and the winter must soon give in to the spring.

The weather breaks and as the flowers bloom the birds sing.

Pain felt is pain understood we cannot learn love without a lesson from
life,
Let old love out and new love in.

To have joy we must first see pain,
The depression and to smile we must first stop crying.

All is lost so that more is gained,
We cannot rebuild without first bringing down the foundation.

We plant not the seed of life upon the head stones of life’s cementers,
Nor do we look for love in the bushels of thorns.

I cry these tears I cry so that when I smile the pain I once felt is not
forgotten,
There will always be scars of pain forever present on our hearts and with in
our minds.

But there is hope to know the lucky ones get to see their lovers eyes open
when they first awake.
