This broken heart
Seems to be my only true inspiration.
The thought of losing you keeps me from sleeping
Keeps me from dreaming.
I know the beginning was a storm
and now I'm hoping I can see the stars
Just like we did at the beach.
If I lose you,
I'll lose all hope of ever being happy,
because you're the only one who can really make me smile.
You kissed me and all the hell in my life
Suddenly felt like heaven.
I know this isn't going to last forever
But it can last longer than tonight.
These feelings in the beginning were on the surface
Somewhere between then and now,
They seeped into my heart and won't die.
I always wanted to write for you
Insecure of myself and what to say,
I never did.
Now that I have, I hope it means something,
because to me-
you mean everything
