Alone is where I stand
Alone is what I am
The company of a band
Is all that I have
Alone because of friends
With their cruel ways
I try to make things amend
But I get ridiculed in return
Alone because of my hobbies
I like to read and write
I feel like standing in a lobby
With no one in sight
Alone I am, always searching
For that one Significant Other
Like a Robin who waits while perching
With no luck, my head lowers
Alone I am giving up hope
Like a priest who lost his faith
Hanging on by a thread, trying to cope
Sitting down my head in my hands
Alone I am, in my house
Not even a mouse
Would keep me company
Alone I am today,
Alone I am for more days to come.
