Why I Hate You

I force my eyes open,
to see the blood trickle down my fingers.
I can feel the pain now,
blocking out the heartache that often lingers.

For a minute I have clarity
and can see how real the world is.
But then I'm flung back, hard, into reality.
I can't take this life, anymore.

As I tie the noose, tight around my neck
and climb up to a higher level,
my tears form a puddle on the tile,
knowing you'll hear my fate and revel.
