Hiding
Nobody looks beneath the shell of the person she portrays
Everyone’s blinded by the innocent smile, the fake eyes, and all the lies
They just come and go without a glance
Nobody tries to get her out of the trance
They don’t see how lost she feels of hear the voices in her head
They don’t see the despair, the grief, and the guilt
Her crystal tears are blown away like nothing worth their time
Their always in a different world, running on a parallel line
She tries to hide the ugly scars she inflicts upon herself
The blood that trickles down no longer makes her turn away
For her to get rid of the pain she holds inside
It takes just one simple cut that washes away with the tide
So she takes out the razor in the wooden drawer
And makes a small cut, feels the blood, and starts again
Very soon nothing stings, there’s no more pain
But she doesn’t want it happening again, so bursts the vein.
