Waiting For You

I sit here waiting for you,
on this bench made of thoughts.
I know that you'll be days,
or maybe even months.

Memories make the moments pass,
thinking of you makes me smile.
I know where you are,
but this will shorten those miles.

When your mouth passed mine,
when your words caressed my ears.
Those things comforted me,
and made me forget my fears.

I want your hand to cover mine,
to keep me warm and loved.
I want you here to feel your body,
the one thing that I have always coveted.

You're still so far away,
but I can still feel you body lingering next to mine.
I want you to to be here with me,
to be part of my kind.

I look around,
and you aren't here.
I can still smell you clothes,
knowing that you could be near.

I look down the street,
while sitting on these memories.
You are standing there waiting for me,
and once again I feel our chemistry.

I run to you,
thinking of what it was before.
You pull me close,
for I am always yours.

I know that those thoughts are still there,
and I know that you want it to be forever better.
We will always be side by side and smiling,
for this love of ours will never shatter.
