i try to believe everything you say
you say you would never hurt me
games you would never play
would never act out in jealousy

never hide the way you feel
you'd never make me cry
never fake your love was real
say you would never have to lie

& you'd never break a promise
but never is a promise too
yet you acted careless
& your feelings you outgrew
