Poems of my heart

Long talks on the phone;
hugs in the hallways;
"I love you" a few times...

I was happy;
Happier then I was before.
I guess it was just a joke;
A joke that was played on my heart.

Why did you leave me;
Leave me here to die;
Leave me in this pain that won't subside.

Its like a slap in the face,
A bullet going through my heart.
Leaving this big gap that’s longing to be filled.

But, it can't be filled;
It cant be whole again;
it cant be the heart that I gave to you.

But I’m giving my heart to someone who will treat me right

My love is still pure to you,
The gap is still open, for you to come in.

You, and only you can make me whole again;
Put the pieces of my broken heart...

together... whole again
