Intoxicated Youth

One day you’ll see the truth
Intoxicating youth
I reached out to let you in
But you’re heart was made of tin

I won’t live up to you
I won’t ever guide you
I’ll never ever hide you
For what it’s worth you could have slipped away

Life: it’s overrated.
Something that was never extant.
Life: how are you waiting?
Are you alone in a dark existence?

I am what you feel
I am what everyone sees
I am what you feel
I wonder why this is happening.
Too many times have I wondered
If life is never ending
Too many moments I bring
That lead me here.

I’m lost, I’m running from life
I’m gone, watch the moments pass me by
I’m wrong, I know there’s no answer
So don’t parade your knowledge around me.

Life: it’s overrated.
Something that was never extant.
Life: how are you waiting?
Are you alone in a dark existence?

Life: it’s overrated.
Something that was never extant.
Life: how are you waiting?
Are you all alone in a dark existence?
Of course you are
