Distant Coast

I threw my arms around his neck
While we float there, injured beyond a large boat wreck
His strong arms were the only thing holding me above the surf and holding me
close
As we drifted down to a distant coast
While floating there I looked into his eyes
And saw no cures, no lies
He pushed my head back against his chest
And said "Just relax, I'll protect you at my best"
Then we reached that far-off coast
And of all the sand I've seen
This island had the most
He kissed me and told me he loved me right out of the blue
I blinked a few times then smiled and said "I love you too"
While we lie there exuasted on the sand
We fell asleep as he gently held my hand
