Darkness

City of darkness
Shrouded in lies
Death and destruction, there will never be less
Deceit is not uncommon
Tricksters and Jokers
Are the city’s sons
Where buildings crumble
Enemies run amuck
In the street a homeless man mumbles
There is no hope
For anyone now
Tears flood everyone’s face; there is no time to cope
The anger all around is like booming thunder
Pain stings like an angry bee
In a place like this it seems like Life is just one big blunder
If I go here
I won’t be missed that’s for sure
On nobody’s cheek will there be a tear
