Tell me what you think about this. I wrote this as an assignment for my
English class.

The sight of the rising sun over the horizon
The feeling of morning due against my skin
The smell of freshly bloomed flowers as the sun slowly caresses their petals
with its rays
The sound of melodic songs of birds chirping in the treetops above
The moon being swept away by the heavenly stars
Darkness subsiding to the light
as a new day arrives…

A step taken, another breath respired
Each step, is a step closer to heaven.
Steps on a winding path towards the unknown ,
with leaving the past behind, but keeping the memories forever

Commencing my journey towards fate,
Sounds of crashing waves beating against the earth
A path of footprints imbedded in the sand as I walk along the beach
Light emitting through wispy clouds on a draping sheet of baby blue
Gleaming on a stairway of clouds

As I walk upon this stairway towards the sky,
Within each step, I feel as if a burden has been lifted from my shoulders.
Within each step, I recall a memory of my past.
Anguished tears from a fall and laughter with friends and family
The feeling of all eternity flash before my very eyes
Viewing my whole life rewind right in front of me

Reuniting with old family and friends with open arms,
Once again laughing, smiling, and reliving the cheerful moments
that have been missed for so long
Now in a world where animosity is nonexistent,
where the sun is always shining ,
And is sheltered by the love of others,

Realizing that my journey has ended
That I have reached my final destination in peace
For I am where I belong and forever will stay
In a place of eternal bliss
I’m finally here. I’m finally home.
