Tell me what you think about it. I was just sitting on a bus on my ride
home, and suddenly words came cascading into my mind.
REFLECTION

There’s a girl in the mirror

With tears streaming down her face.

She looks fairly familiar

And seems out of place.

I don’t know who she is

Or even know why she is crying.

Then suddenly she says,

“ I just feel like dying.”

She seems confused and sad

With thoughts filling her mind.

Perhaps she lost everything she thought she had,

Until she says, “ I wish he was mine.”

Memories coming back,

Everything from laughter to a smile,

Until her world abruptly turns black.

As she starts to believe that life isn’t worthwhile.

She knows that he doesn’t feel the same way.

For a broken hearted-girl

has been praying for him to realize it everyday.

“I’ve kept my feelings deep inside for so long

And hid them away…

Maybe I just don’t belong,”

She says as her heart goes astray.

Feeling left behind

cold out in the rain,

Lost and lonely

and left with nothing but pain.

For this broken heart will never mend,

Because he has never liked her… but her best friend.
