I'm Waiting

I remember the day
as if it were yesterday.
I was about nine
and to me, you were the world.

You picked me up...
I thought you were so strong.
You were very handsome,
but then again your MY dad

I could smell your cologne
so strong...but I loved it,
and when we walked I held your hand.
It was so big compared to mine.
But now you're no were to be found...and it hurts,
no one knows how badly I hurt,
it's cause I hold it all in.
I wish I could see you, be with you

Just to be that nine year old little girl again.
It's such a struggle but one day you'll be back
as for now I wait.
Wait for the day you come back.
