Behind The Golden Sunshine

Behind the golden sunshine
Lies a tattered little girl
Afraid of even beauty
She hides daily behind her curls
Behind the golden sunshine
Lies a happy day of gloom
No chance of disappointment
No right there is to prove
Behind the golden sunshine
Lies a woven human being
She unravels, nipping it away
Like a kitten's ball of string
Behind the golden sunshine
Lies a sleepless day and night
Insomnia from thought not grief
A lasting aimless racing mind
Behind the golden sunshine
Lies a broken picked fence
A cereal bowl full of questions
And answers that eventually make sense
Behind the golden sunshine
Lies an everafter storybook
The cover implies once love
But everyone has a different outlook
Behind the golden sunshine
Lies the sun alive at night
The moon hangs in the hour of day
And the stars never leave the sky
