I do not know what lies ahead,
But this I do not want to dread;
For there are many things I have to see,
But what are they? What could they be?

I never wished that I were dead.
"Keep me safe," I, rather, pled.
The Lord hath not forsaken me,
For if He wasn't there, where would I be?
Sometimes wealth gets to your head,
Or you never wish to arise from bed;
But there is one thing I promise thee,
That you can always count on me.

There are many lines I've often read,
But this is the best; that must be said;
For I am not where I wish to be,
But thank God I'm not where I was previously.
