Afraid Or Frayed

To have a moment to share with you
The simple GOD-given pastels and breeze,
When to ask for a gracious gaze away a time
Would be as sinful as asking you to love me.
So how could one such as myself, ever
Believe you would accept a simple request??
Blindly, I block out your game by your charm
And live unhurt by being truely dishonest.
I try not to smile, I try not to pretend,
I try not to pursue dead emotion through brick walls.
But the crimson stream rapping at my flesh
Says I am still alive and shouldn't break yet all for all.
Even the thoughts intently brushed away
Save what is felt by those told young and naive.
But can they see how vulnerable love is??
Maybe so, but no emotion exists, to say, within me.
So until my eyes dwell over my nightmare,
All is restored and found, those left astray,
The vivid nebula drowned in a blackened sky
Will further unravel, or mend back the frayed.
